Tracey has had a stellar year showing her horse Gun Code. Here is what she has to say about it: “I have always been particularly fond of Eric Church, even more so recently as I’m able to relate to his song “Record Year”. To reflect on this show season as it comes to a close, it has without a doubt been one for the books. Couldn’t think of a more rewarding way to finish the season than with a win in the $1000 added non pro today marking a 145.5. Gun Code found his way into my life this March and has been the consistent show horse I’ve waited a long time for. In his last derby year, he has put over 20 wins on the board. As a result he has more than quadrupled his lifetime earnings. With that, he has also put me in the current top 20 NRHA non-pros, filled the shelves with trophies, posed happily in win photos, but most importantly he has given me some of the most unforgettable moments in the show pen. So here’s to the horse, the team, and the trainer that have allowed me to shine, and in the words of Eric Church I can proudly say “I’m havin’ a record year”.” Congratulations Tracey and Gun Code on a great show season!
